Everyone always remembers the olden days when railway stations were attended by dutiful porters and platforms were ablaze with blooms. Well, times have moved on sadly and now it’s down to the volunteers to brighten up the station.
On Platform 1 (the London-bound side) the tubs were planted by pupils from the Gryphon School. They make a really cheerful welcome to travellers coming and going through the station:
And on Plaform 2 (Exeter and beyond) Sherborne Boys School and Sherborne Bradford Abbas Camera Club have created a series of photographs showing some of the sights of Sherborne:
We were told by one impressed passenger that this was the only art gallery that can be viewed from a moving train!
