Slipped Stitch Blooms

The Slipped Stitch shop is displaying a magnificent  display of woolly blooms, all in aid of Sherborne in Bloom!

Slipped Stich was one of the shops that we wanted to mount a hanging basket on but West Dorset District Council said ‘no’. This was because the shop is in one of the oldest buildings in Sherborne and hanging baskets are obviously regarded as a modern scourge 🙁

But the knitters have found a way around this and the blooms look great. We hope the Britain in Bloom judges who are coming round next Tuesday will approve!

Shopping Street Baskets

As previously reported, our major project this year has been to fund and install 150 self-watering hanging baskets all along the shopping streets of Sherborne.

Well, most of the baskets are now in place and they look amazing. Here are some of the sights you can see when you shop in Sherborne:

And this is all just in time for the Britain in Bloom judges who are coming to town next Tuesday 11 July. We hope they are sufficiently WOW-ed!
