August Heatwave

After all the rain we had in the winter and spring, the temperature in July and August has soared and we haven’t had any rain.

The Council gardeners do a grand job of watering the  public spaces in Sherborne. Here is one of their number watering a plot that the Sherborne Primary School children planted in the Pageant Garden.

Well done, lads – you keep our town  blooming!

St Johns’ Almshouses

The St Johns’ Almshouses has a beautiful display of hanging baskets which are  watered and looked after by the residents.

Located right next to Sherborne Abbey, many tourists take photographs of this immaculate  splendour.

What a great contribution to our Blooming Town!
