Sherborne Abbey Two Minutes Silence

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month Sherborne  honours the fallen. The war memorial at the Abbey is where many people observe the two minutes silence.

100 years ago  on 7 August  (the day that Britain in Bloom judges visited us) Private Thomas William Read of Sherborne died, aged 18, at  the third Battle of Passchendaele. 
And here are all the wreaths and crosses  in memory of the fallen:

All the RHS Britain in Bloom finalists attended the 2017 awards ceremony in Llandudno on  Friday 27 October

Sherborne was awarded a Silver Gilt award, for which we are very proud.
